Online Nature Journaling Class: The Garden in Seed
event
Visual Arts
Adults
The fall garden may appear brown and brittle, but it is full of life; with seed for future generations of plants, nutrition for wildlife and shelter for hibernating insects.
Len is a wildlife artist and Ontario Master Naturalist. Join her on a virtual exploration of the fall garden, through original photo and video footage, to discover its bounty of autumn treasures. In this 2-session class, Len shares a presentation that closely examines a variety of species, and provides live, step-by step sketching techniques to create sketches and journal pages.
Nature journaling helps us connect with nature in creative and personal ways. By recording our observations through sketches and notes, we discover and learn more about our natural world.
The aim of this class is:
– to encourage nature exploration;
– to inspire observations through awareness and curiosity;
– and to spark confidence in creating nature sketches.
Supplies required for each session are: a pencil, eraser and 4 sheets of paper or a sketchbook.
Grab your pencil and paper and join us as we explore the beautiful fall garden!
