James is an actor and writer from Dufferin County. He is a volunteer on the DAC communications committee. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre: Performance Acting from Toronto Metropolitan University and graduated from The Second City Conservatory. He has worked with such celebrities as Michael Bublé, Howie Mandel and Jodie Sweetin. His most recent acting accomplishments include a role in a Hallmark mystery movie and starring in an episode of Neagley, the spinoff to Reacher on Prime. He performed the lead role in a show with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at Roy Thomson Hall. His short film, Crispy, screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Last year, Gerus published his first novel, The Muskoka Murders, available at Amazon and Indigo bookstores.
