Dufferin Arts Council – Special Meeting For Members

As a follow up to last year’s arts community consultation, the DAC board invites you to attend a special meeting of the members. It’s time to update you on the status of our findings and activities since then and issue a call to action for going forward.

At our June 2024 facilitated arts community consultation, a number of arts community challenges were identified that supported DAC undertaking a new direction. Some findings:

• Sustainability issues and cuts to govt funding/ funding for operations (funders tend to focus on project-oriented funding)
• Lack of volunteers/coordinators/leadership
• Siloed arts organizations and the municipalities that support those individual arts means duplicating efforts
