Orangeville Art Group Presents: “Shared Visions”

event

Shared Visions

Seventy years ago in March of 1955, nine women who had a “shared vision” hosted their first community art exhibition at St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Orangeville. These 9 artists had a desire to bring art to the local community through art education and the organization of community art shows throughout the year; this vision became the Orangeville Art Group.

Today the Orangeville Art Group is a diverse group of Artists with a variety of educational and professional art experience. Some of our Artists are self-taught and others have had extensive art training and professional careers in art-related industries. The work that these Artists create is inspired by their multi-faceted and fascinating personal histories and life experiences.

As a community not-for-profit, the OAG is proud to present our eclectic group of Artists in its first ever Exhibition at the beautiful, historic Gibson Centre Art Gallery in Alliston.

Each featured Artist represents a unique individual perspective and expression of creativity, contributing to the theme of collaboration with others as we present our Shared Visions in the modern era.

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
