Join acclaimed Canadian Landscape artist and art instructor John David Anderson for an exciting opportunity to work at developing your own style and goals. Take advantage of this 2-part workshop to take your painting to the next level! Begin or continue your exploration of how to observe and interpret the Ontario landscape to develop a vibrant painting in your own style.
John will begin the program with a short talk about composition, colour, texture and the use of materials. Demonstration will focus on constructing a landscape using a layered technique beginning with the blocking in of all shapes. You can either work from your own reference or John will provide one. During the day, participants will paint with one-on-one guidance on their progress. In addition we are offering an exciting opportunity for you to have a ‘one on one’ critique of one piece of your own work by a professional artist. There will be a critique at the end of the day for all participants of the day’s work. With this valuable information you can finish the piece during the next 3 weeks at your own pace and return on Dec.7 for a final critique of your work from today.
