Fabienne Good is an artist/designer/maker/educator who grew up on a farm in Dufferin County and followed her passion of art & design through OCAD University in Toronto. She then moved to Europe to complete a Masters in Fine Arts with a joint major in Education and Public Art. Fabienne has spent over 15 years living & working abroad primarily teaching art & design in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. She has always enjoyed immersing herself into new cultures, settings and situations and is passionate about sharing the importance of creativity.
Fabienne’s interdisciplinary art-practice includes elements of drawing, photography, weaving and other material processes that serve as both method and metaphor. With a foundation in Fine Arts and a deep respect for craft, her work is driven by concept first – influenced by the notion that the medium shapes meaning. Fabienne’s work engages with layered ideas – juxtapositions of strength and fragility, nature and culture, tradition and innovation – prompting a closer look at what is already present, but not always seen.
